ManiaTV at SXSW in Austin TX
March 20th, 2007
The SXSW showcase party we sponsored in
The party was "sold-out", five times over, with lines across the street of over 60 people!
"People were climbing in through the windows to try and get a glance."
- Dodge, My Old
Our party was a beautiful thing. Supported by the Monolith Festival at Red Rocks, ManiaTV.com, My Old Kentucky Blog, and more...
First up came Denver's best known up-all-nighters, Machine Gun Blues, and those boys can start of an event like none other with pure Rock and sexy entertainment.
The Western States Motel (
Third came the Laylights (
Followed by Cameron McGill (Chicago), whom when asked by him to shut the windows and doors for the event we knew we were in for something a little more enchanting, and he did not let us down with his pure and gritty vocals, with acoustic guitar and backed by four string instruments that echoed through the hallways and turned the crowed silent.
Cloud Cult (
Earl Greyhound (
Next up was Born in the Flood (
Finally Dios Malos (Hawthorne) eased us out with the smooth Indie Rock that warrants their comparisons to The Shins with just a little more flavor in their mix.
Overall these bands made this event a great success and all the right people seemed to be there supporting it.
